PHILLIP “Time bomb” Ndou, a respected boxing heavyweight will face Ntuthuko Memela in the much anticipated fight at Kibler Park on Friday, February 26.

Ndou is known for his punching power, having won his first 25 fights by knockout or stoppage, and currently boasting an 83% knockout ratio.

A confident “Time bomb” as he is known, is pursuing the IBF Africa championship title. He says the welter-weight title is very important to him.

He dubs the fight as: “it was signed in heaven”.

Ndou is sponsored by Grand Auctions Lenasia and Skyline Promotions, they are positive that he will bring home the title.

Managing Director of Grand Auctions Imraan Moosa says Ndou is going to make it and he is the man.

“The focus is the fight and nothing else,” says Ndou.

Ndou has various titles under his belt such as: WBA fight, WBU World, Pound for Pound Fight amongst others. He has fought Floyd Mayweather in a featherweight fight but Floyd knocked him out in Round 7 on November 1, 2003. However, that was not his most challenging fight in his boxing career – Caiphus Baloyi was.

“Right now I’m not even under pressure because the person I’m going to fight is not well known, but I’m going to win,” says the confident Time bomb.

Ndou started boxing at the tender age of six in Venda, Limpopo. He has participated in the Common Wealth Games and the Olympics.

He says those who are following in his footsteps should not imitate him but be themselves.

“Don’t run away from questions ask. If you want guidance you ask and build yourself,” he added.

He is supported by Stephen Msimango former mini-fly SA champion, and IBF Africa President Mr Ngoyi.
